Today, Nutmeg Utility Products is led by President and CEO Jeannine Lavallee, a second-generation owner who literally grew up in the business.

Long before she stepped into the executive office, Jeannine was learning the value of hard work alongside her father, Leo Lavallee, the company’s founder. As a teenager, she spent countless hours helping manufacture one of Leo’s first innovations—a self-contained blower hose system designed to safely ventilate underground manholes and provide fresh air to utility workers maintaining telephone and electric infrastructure. At a time when confined space safety was becoming increasingly important, Leo recognized the need for practical equipment that could protect workers while making their jobs easier.

That spirit of innovation became the foundation of Nutmeg Utility Products.

Jeannine later attended Providence College, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Like her father before her, she understood that building a successful company required not only great products but also disciplined financial management and an unwavering focus on customer relationships.

After graduation, she returned to the family business and steadily assumed greater leadership responsibilities before ultimately taking the reins as President and CEO. Today, she continues to guide Nutmeg Utility Products with the same principles that helped build the company—quality, integrity, innovation, and exceptional customer service.

Founded in 1975 and headquartered in Cheshire, Connecticut, Nutmeg Utility Products has evolved from serving primarily the telecommunications industry into one of the Northeast’s trusted suppliers of application-engineered solutions for the electric, gas, steam, telecommunications, and utility markets.
